Our aim is to become a leading provider of sustainable bioethanol to the European transport fuels market by refining arable crops such as wheat into food and fuel.

Ensus refineries will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve food and energy security, and reduce European demand for animal feed imports that contribute to global deforestation. Ensus’ approach to making bioethanol by refining wheat grown in Europe is sustainable, and offers a renewable and environmentally friendly alternative to oil for petrol vehicles.

Ensus plans to build a number of plants, and will commence production at its first plant on Teesside in 2009.
